  11. We are using quite a number of USRobotics Sportster modems.  All of them
  12. are connected to SUN SparcStation 5 by serial cable with same software
  13. settings.  The OS is SunOS 4.1.4.  Some of them works fine, but the others
  14. have a number of different problems.

  16. Cases:
  17. 1. It doesn't answer the phone.
  18. 2. It answers the phone, after a while of "bi zi" sound, it drops the
  19. line.
  20. 3. It answers the phone and connects to each other.  But it hangs up
  21. after the message "CONNECT XXXXX".
  22. 4. After the connections, the login prompt shows up repeatly.  The lights
  23. of 'CD' and 'RD' are frashing and all the others turn on.

  25. All of thems works fine for dialout calls.
